Hoang Tru relic cluster - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh
The cluster of Hoang Tru relics, the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, is located in a 7-perch-wide garden of Central Vietnam (nearly 3500m2) in Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. There are 3 houses here:
The house of Mr. Hoang Duong and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kep (Uncle's maternal grandparents): The cottage consists of 5 compartments, the front and back are covered with bamboo shingles. Three outer compartments are used as teaching and resting places for Mr. Hoang Duong. Two inner compartments are the living space of the family. In this place, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (mother of President Ho Chi Minh) cried for the first time when she was born.
In 1878, during a visit to wish a New Year for Mr. Vuong Thuc Mau in Sen village, Mr. Hoang Duong met a young boy named Nguyen Sinh Sac who was passionately sitting on the back of a buffalo reading a book. After understanding the circumstances, he took him home to raise him, let him study and become famous, and formed him with his first daughter - the complete talented girl named Hoang Thi Loan.
Thus, the house is not only the birthplace of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan, but also a place to nurture the talents of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac, is a place to build a happy couple of President Ho Chi Minh's parents.
The house where President Ho Chi Minh was born: In order for two children to have their own place after the wedding (1883), Mr. Hoang Duong built a 3-compartment cottage for the young couple. In this simple house, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan gave birth to 3 excellent children: Nguyen Thi Thanh (1884), Nguyen Sinh Khiem (1888), and on a rustic bamboo bed, on May 19, 1890, a litter baby Nguyen Sinh Cung (Uncle's name when he was young) cried for the first time when he was born.
In the Huong exam in the year of the Jia Horse (1894), Nguyen Sinh Sac passed a Bachelor's degree. After that, he went to Hue to study at Quoc Tu Giam School. Ms. Hoang Thi Loan left her eldest daughter in her hometown, and took her two young children to Hue to support her husband to study. In 1900, Ms. Hoang Thi Loan died after giving birth to her fourth child - Nguyen Sinh Xin. On that day, a 10-year-old boy named Nguyen Sinh Cung had to hold his little younger sister and beg for milk to feed her in infinite grief. Not long after, the youngest sister also shunned the world.
After his wife died, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac welcomed his children back to live in Hoang Tru. In the Hoi exam in the year of the Xin Buffalo (1901), he took the exam and passed the Associate Doctorate. According to the custom of "Vinh quy bái tổ" (Honor to pay homage to the ancestors after passing the exam), he and his children left the land of Hoang Tru full of gratitude and returned to live in Sen village. The house in Hoang Tru was given to the relatives of the Hoang Xuan family clan to use. In 1959, this monument was restored.
On the occasion of his second visit to his hometown (1961), President Ho Chi Minh was very touched when he returned to his house and visited the dear mementoes that had been with him since childhood in Hoang Tru village.
Lineage hall of the Hoang Xuan family clan: The Hoang Xuan family clan originated from Hoang Van village, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province, which was a noble family. In the Late Le Dynasty, Mr. Hoang Nghia Than and Hoang Nghia Luong, after helping the King to quell the rebellion, stayed and settled in Phu Long canton (Hung Nguyen district), in the 9th generation, Mr. Hoang Phac Can moved to live, establish named Hoang Tru village. The tile-roofed lineage hall was built by Mr. Hoang Duong in 1881 to worship ancestors. Therefore, on the two pillars in front of the house, there were a couple of parallel couplets:
“Hoàng Vân chính khí truyền thiên cổ;
Chung Cư hùng thanh chấn ức niên”.
“Hoang Van's righteous spirit has been handed down forever
The heroic voice of Chung Cu is still resounding for thousands of years”
During the years of living in his homeland, President Ho Chi Minh often went to the lineage hall to burn incense to commemorate his ancestors. This is also the address Uncle visited when he returned to his hometown for the second time (1961).
