LAN CHAU ISLAND - CUA LO TOWN

Lan Chau Island is located right next to Cua Lo beach, dividing Cua Lo beach into two separate areas. At high tide, the whole island is submerged in sea water. At the foot of the mountain, to the southeast, there are many large rocks with strange shapes with many different names. On the island, in 1936, King Bao Dai built a villa for relaxation. From here, visitors can admire the panoramic view of Cua Lo town and have a panoramic view of the immense sea. Here, there is a strange and beautiful sea chrysanthemum species brought back from France by King Bao Dai himself.

In the distance about 20km offshore is Quynh Nhai mountain, 218m high, 24m deep above sea level. Quynh Nhai includes Hon Lon and Hon Con. This place also preserves a legend: "Ms. To Nuong is tired of looking after her husband" said about this island. To Nuong was born in An Lac, Son Tay. Her husband was from Ham Hoan, which is the land of Nghe today. Both husband and wife were generals of Hai Ba Trung. When the uprising was suppressed, the husband and wife were scattered in one place each. To Nuong decided to sail back to Ham Hoan to find her husband. When near closing to destination, unfortunately, the boat was windy and washed up on Quynh Nhai island. At this point, she no longer had the strength and means to enter the mainland, so she had to stay on the island, day and night staring at her husband's hometown. Nhan Son - Eye Island got its name from there. Eye Island is an important outpost position to protect the peace of the mainland. On the island, there are green forests with many types of sea birds, monkeys, goats, wild boars, etc., which is a diverse eco-tourism potential to attract tourists to Cua Lo.
