PU NHA THAU TEMPLE Around 250km from Vinh city to the west, in the area of Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, Pu Nha Thau temple is considered a famous sacred and beautiful temple of the West of Nghe An province. Pu Nha Thau Temple, also known as Tran Temple, Chin O Chin Quai temple, was built in the Tran Dynasty on Pu Nha Thau mountain to worship Mau Thuong Ngan and worship Doan Nhu Hai, a talented general of the Tran Dynasty died in this area in 1335, when he attacked the Ai Lao army to protect the country. PU NHA THAU TEMPLE

 

Around 250km from Vinh city to the west, in the area of Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, Pu Nha Thau temple is considered a famous sacred and beautiful temple of the West of Nghe An province.

Pu Nha Thau Temple, also known as Tran Temple, Chin O Chin Quai temple, was built in the Tran Dynasty on Pu Nha Thau mountain to worship Mau Thuong Ngan and worship Doan Nhu Hai, a talented general of the Tran Dynasty died in this area in 1335, when he attacked the Ai Lao army to protect the country.

According to legend, this woman also had a family, was very rich, she had a "na xăm" (a gold store) lying at the foot of "Pu Nha Thau" mountain, guarded by her son. She was powerful, talented, lived close, loved the villagers, likeđ to travel around the mountains and forests, villages to encourage, protect the poor, teach the people how to farm, how to prevent , avoiding natural disasters and wild animals, she was honored as a god by the people in village.

Legend has it that she had an epiphany to help the king and servants of the Tran Dynasty in opening the way to Pu Nha mountain to make a barracks to fight the enemy. In addition, she also mobilized villages to support food to feed the army, helping the king and servants of the Tran Dynasty to protect the country's territory.

The ancient Pu Nha Thau Temple was built in the style of a house on stilts with 3 compartments, thatched roof, facing the Southeast. Experiencing historical ups and downs, the old temple was destroyed by American bombs. From 2018 up to now, Pu Nha Thau temple has been restored and renovated by the government and people spaciously, including 2 halls: the workshiping hall and back spac, surrounded by trees and gardens, in front is a festival yard with typical houses of ethnic groups in Ky Son district, forming a harmonious whole with nature. Pu Nha Thau temple was ranked as a the Provincial Historic Site in 2009 by People's Committee of Nghe An province
