LANG LUI TEMPLE

Lang Lui Temple is located in the center of the old Lui village, now known as Nghia My commune, Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province, Lang Lui Temple is considered a quite unique relic with the only stilt house architecture remaining in Nghe An province.

Lang Lui Temple is an ancient temple, which is said to have been built in the early 14^th century, associated with the migration process of a part of the population of the Truong family clan, the Le family clan originated in Cao Bang province, which used to follow Le Loi to fight in the mountainous region of Nghe An and stayed here to live and establish a village. In 1892, the temple was restored and has existed since then.

Based on the worship arrangement and ordination kept at the temple, it showed that the main god worshiped here is Cao Son - Cao Cac who is a god worshiped quite a lot in the land of Nghe An. In addition, the temple also worships Nghia Luc Hau Truong Dinh Tho, brave general Le Van Mai - 2 generals of the Tho ethnic group who followed King Le Loi to fight the Minh army.

Lang Lui Temple relic is a rather unique architectural work remaining on the land of Nghe An, reflected in the architectural style of the house on stilts, a close and typical architecture of the Vietnamese nation. Lang Lui Temple has an architectural style that is unique and rare in Nghe An. Through the architectural structure, we see a style that is both strange but also very familiar, "strange" because this is the only temple with a relatively large-scale stilt house architecture that remains intact in Nghe An province, "familiar" because through the architectural style of the stilt house reminiscent of the ancient origin of the nation.

Currently, the relic is a familiar cultural address of the local people, is one of the relics that are promoting the cultural value in the area. Besides, the relic is also a place for exchanges and meetings, increasing community cohesion, a place to preserve the traditional beauties of the people such as village festivals, sacrifices, processions, folk games, etc... Through cultural activities, the young generation has aroused the love of the country and the spirit of national pride.
