CHIN GIAN TEMPLE FESTIVAL Located more than 170km west of Vinh city, in the territory of Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district, Chin Gian temple is famous as a sacred temple, associated with many legends about establishment of hamlet, village of the Thai ethnic group, which is also an attractive spiritual and cultural tourist destination for tourists from all over the country when visiting the West of Nghe An province. Chin Gian Temple Festival is a festival rich in identity of the Thai ethnic group in the West of Nghe An province. Before 1945, it was customary to hold the festival every three years on 18th August of the lunar calender. The first year held the festival in villages (Xen Ban), the second year held the festival at the Muong level (Xen Muong), in the middle of August in the third year, 09 hamlets held a big festival at Chin Gian temple. The festival lasts for 03 consecutive days and nights with many forms of cultural activities that are both solemn of the ceremony as well as exciting and fun of the festival.
