CON TEMPLE FESTIVAL Con Temple is located on Diec Mound, close to Can Hai Gate, also known as Cua Can (Can Khau) in Huong Can Commune, Hoang Mai Canton, now Quynh Phuong Ward, Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An Province. Con Temple was built during the Tran Dynasty, is the place to worship The Four Holy Queens. The previous Con temple festival took place from December 21st of the previous year to January 22nd of the following year. Today, the Con Temple Festival takes place from January 19th to January 21st every year, with activities such as ritual sacrifices, Chay Oi, Holy procession for spring travel, rituals at Con Ngoai temple, folk games. This is a traditional festival of the oldest type of Nghe land, imbued with a unique culture, reflecting the daily life and folk beliefs of Quynh beach people.
